awesome boots!

I got these boots in brown about a year ago and felt I should leave a review. They're the best pair of boots I have ever owned. My favorite part is the rubber on the bottom. A lot of boots have the slicker finish on the bottom and they're worthless. They fit so well. Very fashionable also. They are cuter on than in the picture. Gorgeous Leather Boot

These boots are a bit of a struggle to get on the first few times but the leather does stretch and once you get them on there's plenty of room.They are ultra comfy.I wore them shopping all day the second time I wore them and didn't experience any discomfort.The leather smell is great as soon as you open the box and they are VERY high quality leather contrary to the other review.Afterall these are Frye boots and they certainly live up to the name!You won't regret purchasing the Frye Billy Short.More detail ...

Very comfy slippers. Not super-durable but still worth it.

I love these slippers! They are comfy and warm as slippers. My first pair wore out when a big toe started poking through the top. Beautiful boot with strange fit

When I saw these boots online I had to have them. They are exactly what I spent months looking for: black leather flats well made gorgeous and supposedly waterproof. I read reviews saying they run a full size small so I ordered a 9.5 rather than my normal 8.5. When I tried them on they still felt snug so I ordered a size 10 which was too big.



I decided to keep the smaller size hoping they would stretch. The boots have become more comfortable as I've worn them in the last two weeks. I have not tried them in the rain yet (afraid I'll destroy them!) so I can't vouch for the waterproof claim. They could use a little bit more arch support but overall I'm very satisfied.More detail ...

great boot - a few gripes...

My first pair of Fryes!

I ordered the dark brown calfskin. They are a lovely deep dark leather nice and tall (I am 5'6 and they come right up to my knee.

I really like these boots however I have a few gripes. I read another review somewhere where it was mentioned that the upper flap needs to be reinforced or else it will fan out on the sides making it look wing-like. Upon just wearing the boots a few days I realized this to be true. When I brought my 2 - day old shoes into the shoe repairman to have the reinforcement done he tried to talk me into also replacing the soles. I declined telling him they were brand new and that I wasn't going to replace the soles of a brand new boot. He looked at the thinly soled bottom with skepticism and informed me that he would see me in a few months for repairs to them anyway.

And sadly he is right. The soles aren't holding up very well and I do alot of walking around the city. This feel especially disappointing as Frye is known and respected for it's craftsmanship and durability over the years - let alone months!

My final gripe about these boots are that my skinny jeans do not fit so well when tucked inside. The boots are fairly fitted to my leg however with plenty of room for jeans. Unfortunately my jeans just bunch up giving me serious baggy knee - a problem I don't have with other boots. For me these are better with leggings and dresses - and to that point I really do love the way they look. More detail ...

The boots are beautiful and exactly what I've been searching for--something not too western. The leather is very soft and feels great on. The boot is great for skinney jeans as there is enough legg room. I can wear them all day and my feet will never hurt. I highly recommend these boots.More detail ...

I can walk again!

I was told that I needed orthotics -- the price was well over $500. Then I found these amazing Merrell Encore Breeze shoes with an orthotic design made just for women built right in. They have taken care of all my foot problems and they have saved me money! I own two pair (black and beige) and plan on buying more. Everyone comments on how cute they are. Thank you Merrell Shoes for making this wonderful shoe. I can't wait for the Fall/Winter styles to come out! Best of all I walk without pain in my knees and feet now.

I own - seriously - three pairs of this shoe

I bought the first pair on sale in a sky blue color and loved them so much I invested in the red variety at full price...just bought pair number 3 in black to wear on semi-professional occasions where I'll be on my feet for hours and need to be able to run (I work with the press so speed is sometimes a priority...I have a pair of black Dansko clogs I occasionally wear for their comfort but moving faster than a brisk walk is impossible in them). I'm not sure which colors are currently available on Amazon but I know this model is produced in at least five colors: moss green brown black tomato red and pool blue.



I have narrowish feet size 8.5 and high arches...and this is literally the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. I've walked upwards of eight miles at a time in the blue pair and - here's another plus - they still look great after a year and a half of fairly constant wear.



These shoes cost more than sneakers but I can absolutely tell you they are worth every penny. The leather is sturdy and I've dropped a full glass of water on my toes with no splash marks left later.



Seriously I cannot say enough about this product. My only worry is that Keen will stop making them. If I ever see another pair on sale in my size I will invest in #4.



I own several other pairs of Keen shoes as well (including the Bend the Portola and the Tuscany)...and while I would rate those maybe an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10 the Presidio goes up to eleven. Higher really. The fit is most like the Targhee mid another Keen model of which I own more than one pair (try the purple ones they're insanely cute.)



One detail: They run about a half size smaller than marked. I wear an 8.5 in most brands of shoe but I need a full size 9 in the Presidios.More detail ...
